The CDPNG database can help lawyers by:
1. Quickly and easily identifying specific court matters before applying for additional information from that court. As the database provides links to specific matters (exactly as published in that court's daily court lists), having all that information beforehand might even prevent a court from refusing to supply information when too broad a request is made.
2. Identifying court matters a potential new (or old) client might have been involved in. This of course also extends to the other party in any litigated matters.
3. As part of any due diligence inquiries undertaken on behalf of a client.
4. Due diligence areas of the firm's practice, particularly when dealing with other businesses such as contractors and suppliers.
Alerts can be created in the CDPNG Database for a person's name or a that of a business or other entity.
After creating an Alert, you will receive an email whenever a future record for that same name is added to the database.
This is an ideal option if you want to keep track of any new records for one or more people and/or companies.
